Your apprenticeship

A ticket at the end of it.

This is not a job that stalls out. Apprenticeship is a real progression: hours in the bay, blocks in the classroom, and more responsibility at each level as you earn it.

Year 1 You start here

Maintenance and tires

Oil, filters, tire work, brakes and light repairs. You learn the shop, the tools and the Ford way of doing things.

Year 2

Repairs and systems

Heavier mechanical work under a Journeyman's eye, plus manufacturer training online and in the classroom.

Years 3 to 4

Diagnostics

Real diagnostic work on driveability, electrical and drivetrain, with your hours logged toward certification.

Ticketed

Journeyman Technician

Your own bay, your own work orders, and the pay that comes with a certified trade.

Why Avalon Ford

The shop you learn in matters.

#1 rated in Atlantic Canada

Our service department is the top rated Ford department in the region, earned through customer service and workmanship.

25+ years, still busy

A steady book of work means steady hours and enough variety to actually build your skills instead of repeating one task.

Training that is paid for

On the job coaching, Ford's online curriculum, and support through your classroom blocks. You are not figuring it out alone.

Competitive pay plan

Apprentice rates that start well above minimum and move up with your year, your hours and your ability.

Medical benefits

A medical benefits package for full time employees, not something you wait years to qualify for.

Management that backs you

Strong management support, and Journeymen who would rather teach you properly than have you guess.

Still in school? That is exactly who we are looking for.

If you are enrolled in a college automotive technician program, you already meet the main requirement. Fill out the form below and our Service Manager will follow up with you directly.
